The Vintage Holiday Market

Hello friends!

I was lucky enough to participate in the Vintage Holiday Market in Ashland , VA, that the Barnyard Junkies Hosted, earlier this month. It was a wonderful time, i met some truly creative people and some super sweet people and made a few business contacts. And not to mention got to go somewhere new ~ the town of Ashland is just so quaint. I'll definitely plan to visit again.
It was a great experience and i can't wait to do my next show!
Here are a few a LOT of  pics from my space.

The farm table ive had for about 10 years , ive finally decided to part with.  A whole lot of family dinners around that table. :) It did not sell at the show so it is currently looking oh so chic in my booth at A Unique House Antique Mall.

my anthropologie knock off ~ a bottle brush tree in a chicken feeder mason jar. <3

Ruffled Tree Skirt

Miss Mustard Seed did a tutorial for HGTV . Thats where i got the idea plus its been all over pintrest!
I got so lucky and found a pair of Vintage velvet floral panels at the thrift store. That rich velvety red i just knew i had to use it for something Christmas related.  I simply cut cut them in strips and hot glued them to a cut out piece of scrap fabric. Just to break it up a bit i used dropcloth for a couple of rows. Like any craft it was time consuming but i love the way it turned out. I still have one panel left so you'll prob be seeing some pillows or stocking here soon.

These Vintage ornament went Quick! I guess so priced at only a dollar a piece!

I spray painted a tomato cage silver turned it upside down and stuck it in a pretty pot to display my handmade ornaments. Worked perfectly!

A Last Glipse of Fall

Hello friends!

Boy O Boy have i missed you! I was really busy doing a show (more on that next post) and then lost Internet for a week ( longest week of my life) so it has been a really long time since we've chatted. So much to catch up on... but first things first. I know everyone is all about Christmas right now as you should be HELLO Its only less that 4 weeks away now~ crazy!  But I never got to finish sharing my fall decor so I'm just gonna get this out of my system so we all can move on with our lives. :)

my fall mantel ~ i chose to go with  a woodland rustic themed mantel, which just fits so well since my mantel is a huge piece of wood from an old fallen pier and my fireplace surround is all brick.  What screams woodland more that deer antlers, pine cones and red leaved garland?

the beginnings of my Thanksgiving table

My new dining room ~ ive just recently rearranged my home. Im really loving eating dinner while the listen to the crackling of the fireplace.

Im still working on recovering my French armchairs that will grace the ends of table.

Me and my babies at the pumpkin farm ~ good times!!

good bye Sweet Autumn ~ you've come and gone way to fast!

thanks for letting me share with you my fall decor ~ now I'm gonna go put it away and start decoration for Christmas!

Talk to ya tomorrow!

Secretary

Hello Friends!

What a fabulous weekend i had! Saturday we had our monthly outdoor sale at A Unique House Antique Mall. It was the first time Ive participated and now I'm sad i haven't been setting up during the previous months~ boy was i missing out!. I love mingling with the customers and meeting new friends that share the same interest as me. And a the while while i was "working" my booth i actually walked away with my pockets full! Wow people like my junk! :) After though a very exhausting day of loading and unloading the truck I still managed to come up with a Halloween costume and take my 2 year old to my sisters Halloween party. Good times~ Gabriel (2yr old) was a bit scared of the erry decorations. My sis can really throw a party her decor is off the hook. I'm sure she will blog about so if ya have a min check her out shes also got fantastic recipes to drool over! Finally Sunday was Action Day!! Again another long and exhausting day but i got some really cool treasures! Can't wait to share them all with ya! But for today i wanted to show off my first ever ....

isnt she lovley!

hard to tell with these pics but i applied a silver painted viney stencil on the front drop down and up and down the sides. Its not super noticable but gives it a beautiful shimmer when the light hits it.

three drawers w/ original hardware

lots of room to put a cool vintage typewriter or even your laptop

I used a custom mix of ASCP Old white and a grey opps paint from Lowes. And then accented it with just straight Old White. Clear and dark (in some spots) Wax all over

look at those cute claw & ball feet!

all kinds of cubbies for your love letters :)

hope you enjoyed yourself have a fabulous day ~ everyday!!
