Love my job

Hello there Friends

I absolutely love painting furniture.  I love the relaxing state that it puts me in. I love bring out my creative into a tangible reality. I love the feeling I have when I've completed a piece. Even though I've been painting for years there is still that feeling like wow I did that?! A sense of pride that can just elevate my mood every time. Yes the experience may be there ( I have been painting for about 17 years)  but really its all these amazing products that are out now. I mean its hard to screw up.  Back when I was just starting out there was (at least it wasn't well known) no furniture paint, Latex was the old school way to go. Now the process for making over your cherished furniture is easy its the creative aspect that sets apart a furniture artist and just a furniture diy painter.  The hardest part for me is trying to figure out what kind of technique and colors I am going to use. Sure sometime the piece just speaks to me and I know right away how I am going to go about its makeover but other times its a fun but difficult decision. and honestly they haven't always been the best decisions embarrassed to say I've had to repaint pieces because they just wouldn't sell.
its been a while since I've posted so today I thought I would share with you a handful of the projects that I've finished the last couple of months.
Enjoy...

Here was a custom piece that I did for a client for her sewing room. I hand painted dress form silhouettes on a pine cabinet. This was such a fun piece! The inside is the beautiful bright Bordello by American Paint company and the outside was painted in a taupey grey called Rushmore.
